That's what they thought of Airbnb, and that's why they organized a contest in which only four lucky people can travel to the town of Grottole (located to the south, in the region of Matera) and spend the 3 months of summer knowing the local customs and, of course, helping. As The purpose of the trip is to revitalize the economy of the town by attracting tourism (there are 600 inhabitants and 300 empty houses).Airbnb
Transfer, stay and 900 euros per month is what Airbnb offers in reward for the work of the participants. But if you have already put your hands to your head thinking that you have no idea of the language, relax!
The first month will be devoted to teaching Italian and collaborating with several of its residents.: Rosa, a cook; Vincenzo, an oil producer; Andrea, founder of Wonder Grottole; and Rocco, hairdresser, saffron producer and beekeeper. Check out the video to get inspired… 😉
If you have no plan for the summer and you want to know Italy for a good cause, then we leave you the link from which you can sign up. Good luck!
